“The Fast And The Furious” Cast Reunites at 79th Cannes Film Festival Screening

CANNES, FRANCE — The iconic cast of The Fast And The Furious made a high-profile appearance at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 13, 2026, for a special screening celebrating the enduring legacy of the globally successful franchise. The event brought together key figures from the original film, drawing significant attention from fans and photographers on the Cannes red carpet.

Producer Neal H. Moritz, a driving force behind the franchise, was joined by Dame Donna Langley, Chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, and beloved cast members Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, and Meadow Walker, daughter of the late Paul Walker. They gathered at the iconic Palais des Festivals et des Congrès for a special screening of the original The Fast And The Furious movie, which premiered 25 years ago.

The reunion was a poignant moment, particularly for Vin Diesel, who became emotional during the event while remembering his late co-star Paul Walker. Meadow Walker’s presence further underscored the enduring bond within the Fast & Furious family, highlighting the deep connections forged over two decades of filmmaking.

The screening celebrated the remarkable legacy of the action franchise, which has grown into one of Hollywood’s most recognizable and highest-grossing film series. Its enduring popularity, more than two decades after the original movie’s release, was evident in the enthusiastic reception from the Cannes audience.

Held during the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival, this special event added considerable star power to this year’s lineup of premieres, tributes, and unique screenings, reinforcing the festival’s role as a global cinematic showcase.
